About this PSA

Communities Speak and the Institute for Global Affairs at Columbia University recently released reports on Daycare and Housing, drawing from Communities Speak survey data. This comes amid heightened debate about affordability in the city, with cost of housing and presence of childcare deserts emerging as defining issues. The included recommendations call for expanded city and state funding for childcare and rental assistance programs, targeted neighborhood-level interventions, and stronger partnerships with community organizations to ensure New Yorkers can access existing resources.
