The Don’t Do NYC Dirty campaign aims to turn city pride into collective action. While most New Yorkers say they’re proud to live here, nearly 4 in 10 still admit to littering. This message taps into this disconnect and encourages small acts like Trashing Your Trash.

The Sanitation Foundation is the official nonprofit partner of the NYC Department of Sanitation (DSNY), created to help address the city’s growing waste crisis. With over 44 million pounds of trash generated every day, DSNY can’t do it alone. Through youth education, community cleanups, and public campaigns, we empower New Yorkers to take ownership of their neighborhoods and work together for a cleaner, healthier city.
