Good Cause NYC is a free online tool that helps renters accomplish the following:

- Understand Rights: No matter what result you get, we offer next steps to learn about the protections you have.
- Calculate Rent Increase: If you know you’re covered by Good Cause, you can use the screener’s rent increase calculator to learn if your rent hike exceeds the legal limit considered “reasonable.”
