Avenues for Justice (AFJ) is New York City's #1 alternative-to-incarceration program dedicated to keeping young people out of the justice system and on a path toward success for 47 years. Through free court advocacy and enrichment programs in workforce development, education, mental health, and intensive case management, AFJ serves more than 650 youth ages 13 -24 annually. With 94% of Participants avoiding reconviction within three years, AFJ is proving that support, not incarceration, creates lasting change.
