Youth in our communities will be the next generation of lifelong learners, creative problem solvers, and collaborative leaders. LEAP’s arts programs foster social and emotional learning (SEL) skills and connect the arts to social justice to support the development of the next generation of creative leaders. They focus on providing fully immersive interdisciplinary, curriculum-based arts education to K-12 students in New York City’ public schools. They also offer Signature Programs (LEAP Onstage, Tomorrow’s Entrepreneurs, Public Art, Next Narrative Monologue Competition, and Leap Literacy) that stand at the forefront of immersive arts education and offer unparalleled experiences that deeply engage New York City youth in the transformative power of the arts.
LEAP’s mission is to partner with school communities to offer creative arts programs that encourage New York City youth to pursue their passions, develop their strengths, and amplify their voices. They envision a city where education is equitable, and the arts are accessible for youth in communities that are rich in culture and capability and have intentionally and unintentionally excluded and under-resourced.
