The quarantine measures of the COVID-19 pandemic have heightened the increased risk to the physical and emotional safety of victims of crime and abuse. The #SafetyIsEssential PSA serves to educate the public about the need for essential services like Safe Horizon to assist survivors of domestic violence and abuse and the vital resources available to them. Safe Horizon is the nation’s largest victims services agency, serving over 250,000 survivors in New York City annually.
Safe Horizon is the largest nonprofit victim services agency in the United States, providing social services for victims of abuse and violent crime in 57 locations throughout the five boroughs of New York City. Safe Horizon partners with governmental and other community agencies and also advocates for policies on a local, state, and national level on behalf of those affected by violence and abuse.
